Let’s set the stage. You’re at a bar or some other public setting. An attractive guy comes up to you and starts talking to you. He doesn’t have the greatest game in the world, but it’s pretty clear that he’s interested in you and isn’t just talking to you by random chance. You talk for a few moments then you both seem to run out of things to say. It gets a little bit awkward and so the guy wishes you farewell and walks away.
Damn…
Knowing how to let a guy know you’re interested can be very important. You never know what great guy might walk away just because he wasn’t sure he was getting the best vibes from you. At the same time, you don’t want to seem too into him right away because that could look kind of desperate. So, what do you do?
Allow the Wife Wizard to share a few tips:
Ask Him His Name
The easiest and most low-pressure way to signal to a guy that you’re interested in him is to beat him to the punch on introducing yourself and asking his name. This sends the message to him that you’re curious about him and want to get to know him better. By doing so, he is much more likely to relax and hang around a while longer.
Make a Pass
When in doubt, there’s nothing wrong with being a little more forward and direct. Say something like, “I was wondering if you were going to come talk to me.” Even if that’s not exactly true, it still accomplishes the goal of letting him know that you’re interested. Don’t fear; remember, he came to talk to you! So you already know he’s interested in you. Your advances will not be rejected.
Ask Questions
When a guy approaches a woman and she starts asking questions about him, it lets him know that she’s interested. The questions you’re asking aren’t nearly as important as the fact that you’re asking something.
Seal the Deal for Him if You Have To
Lastly, be prepared to take the initiative on setting up a date. If the conversation has gone on for a while and is beginning to stall a little bit and he still hasn’t asked you for your number, just be up front with him and say, “it’s been nice talking to you, I’d like to do it again sometime, why don’t you take my number?” This accomplishes two things. First, it gives him a chance to get your number and therefore contact you in the future. And second, it subtly sends the message that you’re conversation is over for the evening allowing you both to end it on a high or mostly-high note.
